This is my chosen 2 minutes of a film which is Star Wars IV

There is no titles in the opening scene

You can clearly tell by the opening 2 minutes of this film that the genre is science fiction + action and adventure because of the space setting and the spaceships also you can tell its action because of the shooting scene. Also the sounds are very fitted to the genre which builds the suspense for the battle. there are also a range of different shots in the opening such as a extreme long shot of the star destroyer and the rebel ship which gives a true scale of the sizes of the ships and what the rebels are up against and you can see this by which the rebels are acting because they look worried because they know they are a much smaller force. There are no main characters in the opening scene apart from R2D2 and C3PO

My chosen favourite director is steven spielberg because he has directed many films such as Jaws, Jurassic Park and the Indiana Jones Films, alll these films are classics and this is how he became so popular and recongized .And is is called on of the most known directors ever. He has one 126 awards this is because his films are always so different and interesting.

Opening Film Scene Analysis

My chosen film trailer/scene is Star Wars VI. The genre of this film is Science - Fiction and       Shoot - 'em up adventures you can clearly tell because of the setting of it being in space and the massive battle ships and also the characters in the film with there being soldiers (Stoomtroopers) everywhere which shows that the film will have shooting and fighting scenes in it. Also the general colour of the background is dark and grim which could help to show that there will be fighting scenes in the film because you can clearly tell that they are the bad guys in the film.The audience would be encouraged to watch on after seeing this opening scene because it shows a huge army getting ready for battle so people will want to watch on to see what happens later in the film and also if they have watched the previous film they will know what generally happens in star wars films so they will want to see what happens this time. You can clearly tell that the opening scene shows the bad guys because of the whole vibe also the music in the background definitely is
