This is a our film company which we created which we feel would suit the horror genre. the title dark forest films connotes, mystery, horror and drama therefore the audience might think thatthey specialize in making horror films. The font is in white and red which stands out in the black background and the image is white grey and black which is eye catching and links to the title of the production company. the title shot is conventional to the opening of a film and would inform the audience of who the production company is.
This is a narritive title shot which informs the audience about the time, location and narritive eventsin the opening of the film. the black and white contast is effective and connotes mystery because the colours are not warm and cheerful. Titles are often included in the opening of a film to set the narritve tone and engage the audience so they want to watch the rest of the film.
In the opening shot off we had a shot of a small stream in the woods. We did this so the audience could get a view of where the film was set, this also give a feel of calmness in the woods which makes it feel like nobody is about. We also used this as it would be seen as a typical convention of a horror genre film because it is a quiet remote setting. the close up shot shows the reflection of the water which adds to the atmosphere of the setting.
This medium shot of the two characters shows that they are two stereotypical teenage boys as they are both wearing sport like clothing wich is usually associated with teenage boys.the shot also shows the setting of the narrative is the woods which is a conventional setting for a horror film. The title in the corner is the actors name for one of the teenage characters in the shot this is conventional for an opening of a film as it informs the audience who the actors are featured in the narrative.
This high angle shot is very effective as it fits in with the title of our film "The Stalker", this shot makes it feel like they are being watched which is typical of the horror genre. Also this shot is good because it gives a different perspective to the scene which the audience will like.
This medium shot is also very effective, it is shown when the characters turn around and look scared as shown by there facial expressions. This shot is also typical of the horror genre the characters are looking in the same direction where the camera is which makes it look like they are being watched by someone.
This is a long shot of the two characters through trees. This is a typical shot of the horror genre as it looks like they are being watched which gives it a scary feel. This shot is also effective as it puts yourself in the "stalkers" shoes which adds tension and suspense to the scene.
This is an over the shoulder shot, which is effective in showing the conversation between the two characters. In this shot it is also a medium shot of the characters face which allows us to see his facial expressions which shows he is scared which is typical of the horror genre. Also with scary intense music in the background it allows the audience to know that something is going to happen.
This is an extreme close up of our villian who is known as "the stalker" in our film in this shot it is a jump scare scene which is typical with the horror genre as the audience for horror genres love being jump scared which this shot forfills. Our villians costume is very dark and barely any of his face is showing which made him look scary to fit his role.
